Serves 4. Costs under £2

Preheat oven to 95°C and line a baking sheet with baking paper.

Wash, dry and remove the stems from the berries. Thinly slice the      strawberries and lay out on the baking sheet, do not let them overlap.

Bake for 1 hour then carefully turn the slices over. Bake for an additional 15-30 minutes or until mostly firm (and not sticky) to the touch.

Remove pan from the oven and let cool on the sheet. They will crisp a little more as they cool.

Serve immediately or store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days
