{"id":585,"date":"2020-03-03T14:53:59","date_gmt":"2020-03-03T14:53:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.healthyhebrideankids.scot.nhs.uk\/?page_id=585"},"modified":"2020-03-03T14:53:59","modified_gmt":"2020-03-03T14:53:59","slug":"recipe-mild-chicken-curry","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.healthyhebrideankids.scot.nhs.uk\/?page_id=585","title":{"rendered":"Recipe &#8211; Mild chicken curry"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"has-luminous-vivid-orange-color has-text-color wp-block-heading\">Mild chicken curry<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>2 tbsp vegetable oil<\/li><li>1 onion peeled and chopped<\/li><li>1 clove garlic, crushed<\/li><li>1 small carrot cut into matchsticks<\/li><li>2 chicken breasts cut into bitesized chunks<\/li><li>1 tbsp Korma curry paste<\/li><li>1 tbsp plain flour<\/li><li>\u00bd tbsp mango chutney<\/li><li>1 tbsp tomato puree<\/li><li>50 g frozen peas<\/li><li>50 g sweet corn<\/li><li>2 oz spinach<\/li><li>150 ml coconut milk<\/li><li>150 ml boiling water<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Heat the oil in a wok or frying pan and saut\u00e9 the onion and carrot for 3 minutes.  Add the garlic and saut\u00e9 for half a minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Coat the chicken in flour and add to the pan and stir fry for 4 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Add the Korma curry paste, mango chutney, tomato puree, frozen peas, sweetcorn, carrot, coconut milk and water and simmer for about 15 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Add chopped spinach and remove from heat.\u00a0 The spinach will start to go soft and wilt.
